A new European Union Ambassador to Egypt

A new European Union Ambassador to Egypt has been appointed replacing his predecessor H.E Mr. Marc Franco.

H.E. Mr. James Moran, 59, has previously worked as a Senior Coordinator for the European Union in Tripoli in 2011, and managed to open a representing office of the EU in the Libyan capital, and served as the Director of Asian Affairs in the European Commission in Brussels from 2006 until 2011, and as Ambassador to Jordan in 1999 until 2002, and served in the same post in a number of countries including Jamaica, the Bahamas and Ethiopia.

The new European Union Ambassador to Egypt is one of the most prominent European diplomats and a graduate of Harvard University and a specialist in international relations and economics.
