Egypt and Italy sign mutual cooperation agreements

Egypt and Italy met the first time after the 25th January Revolution and signed several contracts such as the Memorandum of Understanding on a debt for development swap deal.

The Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini and the Egyptian (now ex) counter-part Nabil El-Araby agreed on contracts covering labour, culture and tourism fields as well as the issue of the establishment of an Italian university in Egypt. Furthermore, the Italian Labour Minister signed convention after opening a recruitment office in Cairo which allows Egyptians to work in Italy seasonally.
