France allocates 20% of aid for democracy in Egypt and Tunisia

According to the French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, 20% of France’s foreign aid should be used to establish democracy in Egypt as well as Tunisia.

H.E. Juppe who attended the Arab Spring Forum in Paris this May appealed to the West not to worry about the Jasmine Revolutions. He assured his audience that the young people having led the revolutions are able to protect democracy. To emphasize this he saluted the Egyptian Khaled Saeed and the Tunisian Mohamed Bouazizi who played key roles during the revolution in their home countries. Before ending his speech the Foreign Minister concluded that “Egypt was an example of democratic change.”
