Egyptian Cuisine celebrated at Sardinia MedDiet Camp

In the frame of the ENPI CBC funded MedDiet Project, Egyptian traditional dishes demonstrated by renowned Egyptian Chef Moustafa el Refaey, owner of Zooba restaurant, found a passionate interest by a large group of Italian food bloggers and restaurant critics.


In two live shows he demonstrated the way of preparing dishes like Shurba el ads, Singari Shrimps in Freak, Water Melon salad and Koushari Coucous with Beef Strips.

The Meddiet Camp, which was part of the activities to promote healthy, traditional and locally produced nutrition in 6 countries of the Northern and Southern Mediterranean, had invited Chefs from Lebanon, Tunisia and Egypt to demonstrate to experts for Mediterranean food different country typical dishes.


More than 50 cuisine experts from all over Italy followed the invitation to the two-day event in Sardinia to learn about about dishes and preparation methods of the Southern Mediterranean Countries.
